Bus stop.
An inclusive public service
This bus stop was designed for the use of all types of people. Some of the main characteristics of this bus stop are:
1.Seats:
These seats are adaptable for the different heights for the multiple needs of people (children, adults or people with disabilities), and are easy to move up and down.
2. Light: The light at the top of the pole is used to indicate information about the bus that is coming, and to communicate to the bus driver a need of a passenger. Additionally, a light is visible from afar (more-so than an information board) and is accessible to individuals who are unable to read.
Light off: The bus is more than 15 minutes from reaching the stop.
Light on: The bus is less than 15 minutes from the stop.
Flashing light: The bus is less than 5 minutes from the stop.
Red light: Person who needs help to get on the bus at the stop. This is a switch that is pressed informing the bus driver that a person needs assistance.
3. Speaker:
A recording gives instructions about the status of the bus that is on its way according to the light.
4. The design of the main structure helps the easy change of signs depending on the location and need of each sector where the bus stop is installed.
